Bottom
Two of life's pathetic losers share a flat and
some lice.
This is definitely one of the best comedies
ever shown on the BBC - although it should really be strictly for adults
only as there is a lot of mindless violence and bad language, although
saying that you just can't help curling up and laughing when the boys start
laying in to one another.
The programme is based around two middle
aged guys who share a flat, Richie Richard played by Rik Mayall) is a real
slob of a man, he's never had a real girlfriend and can only ever fantasizing
about woman, he constantly moans about the state of his life, and I think
he only changes his underpants once a year. Eddward Hitler is played by
Adrian Edmondson, who when asked in reference to his surname, "Any
relation?", Eddie replies, "As a matter of fact YES!!".
Eddie is always getting pissed and whenever he get hold of some cash can't
resist spending it on drink or gambling it away on a sure bet - like the
horse 'Sad Ken'.
